"Daine is wonderful to work
with. She came to my home and spent some time getting to know me and my
tastes. She took some photos and measurements before the shopping trip. We
spent five hours shopping and I watched as she pulled the place together. I
have completed the first phase of the project and already there is a huge
improvement. I am very excited and cannot wait to see the finished product."

Dining Room
In this view you can see the
inspiration for this project: a colourful piece of art the client
purchased on a trip to St. Martin. |

The client
had some specific ideas and
needs, firstly she wanted a home where people would come in and go "WOW".
Secondly she entertains and loves to have just one person for a special dinner
or a couple ball teams over for a barbeque. Lastly, she needed to have
comfortable office to operate her accounting business and an inspiring place
write the books she is working on. She is very hands on and has done most of the
work to implement the design concept on her own to keep costs down. Here are a
few of the before pictures just before the client moved in and the after photos show
what we have accomplished over the last few months. |

Kitchen and
Hallway
The yellow walls brighten a
below grade unit on even the grayest of Vancouver days. You can see the
photos the client took on her trip to St. Martin on the wall. |

Seating
A grouping of photos above
the new microfibre suede loveseat, chairs and storage ottoman. The area
rug is trimmed in gold faux suede. The lamps and end tables add a bit of
old world to the space. |

The entertainment
unit was the inspiration for the espresso stain on the floors and is a
sculptural element that provides lots of storage |
